About Cheri Salazar

Cheri Salazar is a Broker/Owner at RE/MAX Lighthouse, serving home buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Utah County and Salt Lake County, Utah. She is also Co-Founder and CEO of NestSTEPS, a financial platform that turns homeownership into an employee benefit through automated savings, down payment and closing cost contributions, and a six-part homebuyer education program.

Cheri's path into real estate grew out of real life. She and her husband weathered financial hardship before finding stability, and that experience became the foundation of her career: a firsthand understanding of what's at stake when a family buys or sells a home. She earned her real estate license determined to help others find not just a house, but a genuine path to financial growth.

As her client base grew, so did her sense of purpose. She earned her broker's license and opened RE/MAX Lighthouse, where she now leads a team of agents who share her commitment to honest, client-first service — multiplying her impact across Utah County and Salt Lake County. Her drive to remove barriers to homeownership also led her to co-found NestSTEPS, extending that same mission beyond real estate transactions into the financial tools that get families to the closing table.

Cheri is a wife and mother of five, with two children-in-law. She grew up watching her parents find happiness despite hardship, a lesson that shapes how she works with clients today: real estate isn't just a transaction, it's a milestone in a family's story.

Cheri's goal is simple — helping people find real stability and pride through homeownership and smart real estate investment, one family at a time.
